My mom works with a lady who just recently lost their house. She is a mother of a 10 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. So I decided to use my money, plus a few extra bucks, to be their Santa. I went to Target and bought a Doll House for the daughter and a Glow in the Dark Nerf Gun for the boy!

my gift
i spent my money on my moms friend whos son is in prison and i know that we are not supposed to buy giftcards but i had to because i got them mcdonalds and gas cards. they enjoyed it very much.
The Gift
My mom knows a family called the Suttons. The family consists of a mom and two daughters, one has a baby. The daughters go to private school. They don't have much at all, so they were going to have Christmas gifts donated to them, so they could have a Christmas. Somehow, the gifts got confused and were not donated to them, they were given to another family. There was an e-mail sent out to many people, one being my mom. It asked for donations of money and gifts. I decided to put together something with my 25 dollars. I knew if would be simple, but I was sure it would help them. I wrote a card that said: 'Jesus gave me the oppurtunity to make someones day. I am giving you this 25 dollars to benefit your family in whatever way you need it. I know it isn't much, but I hope is is enough to help you. I hope it makes you day brighter and your smile wider. :) God bless you and your family, and have a very merry Christmas.' I put the 25 dollars into the card (by the way, the card was cute and Christmasy :D), and sealed it. I put it into a bag with a box of hot chocolate for them to enjoy. :) I hoped it would make them happy. Then I went to their house and gave them this gift. :))
The Gift
I turned my cash into two necklaces; it took me forever to find the perfect ones. They had to be unique, a little odd, not really meant to match anything, but matching hasn't ever bothered her, anyway. I gave them to a friend of mine who I've brought to Sound before. This gift was my opportunity to reach out to her, to help make her decision to come with me every week. I'm glad I had the chance to do it.

The Gift
I like many others who recieved the $25 to give away to someone, had trouble figuring out what to do with it. I asked my mom to see if she new any families in need this christmas. So she asked her friend who his a cop that told me about a family of two brothers who lived with their grandmother. She recently passed away and they were taken to another family. I didnt have enough time to get to know the family, so i decided to give the money to the Guardians so that they could use it for the kids.

Delaney's gift
I know a family who the mother and father give everything they have to their three kids ages 14years, 10years, and 3 months. the mother never has time to do anything for herself. I went and bought her a certificate to go get her nails done and pamper herself. she is a great woman and deserves a little time for herself.
The GIFT!
Me, my sister, and two of our other friends put our money together (including the 25$) and bought some treats. We put together plates of cookies and fudge. We went out driving on Christmas Eve and delivered a few plates to two fire stations and two police stations in Cumming Ga. It took about an hour for all four stops, but was really rewarding. I think we really shocked some of the workers because every person we saw had a strange look on their face. I am hoping it was a good/strange look! They thanked us and we left shortly after. I feel like God wanted us to do this-to show all the cops and fire fighters that they are being thought about. However, it was sad to see them without their families. All of the men really were not expecting to see a bunch of young people doing something like this. It was a memorable experience that will stay with me for years!
The Gift
I had a very hard time thinking of something to do for this. I decided to add some more money to the $25 making it go further to $100. I called the church to see if they knew of any families in need this holiday. They called me back later saying they knew of a family who needed gift cards to Ross, one of there favorite places apparently. Also we figured a gas card could help. We took it to the place the families mom works and gave the gifts to them for it to be delivered to them.
My father works for a Police Department and knew of a family of five boys who are being raised by their great grandmother. The boys' grandmother and mother have recently passed away and the great grandmother, who is 86 years old, was the only one left to care for the boys. The Police Department had provided presents, a fun day for the boys, some groceries and a little money for the great grandmother. We went to their home and presented her with a new Bible I had bought with the $25.00. She was absolutely thrilled and gave me a hug. I hope the Bible provides her warmth when she is cold; comfort when she is down; and peace when she is overwhelmed by her circumstances.

The Gift
In me and my brothers cul-de-sac there is a family of 11. There are 9 kids and 2 parents and it was recently brought to our attention that they might need some help with their Christmas dinner. So me and my brother joined our money together and bought dinner for them. We asked our friend to deliver it so our hand in it could stay secret.

What I did with my money was give a Christmas to two girls who weren't going to have a nice one. I got together with two other people who got the "gift" envolopes and other people who were willing to chip in, like my cousins and friends. We all went shopping and we were able to get the girls clothes, stuff for there stockings, and a game. We ended up having to put our own money into it, but it was worth it! Today we met the mom of the girls at the church and when we gave her the gifts she was so thankful! It made an impact, and now her girls get the Christmas that they deserve!
Sydney, Sirena, Bryson, and I rounded up our money to give to a family of 6. About two months ago we were going to have a yard sale, but that morning we woke up and it was raining. So in addition to the $100, we are going to give the stuff from the yard sale to the family. Maybe God made it rain. We have furniture, game systems, hats, etc. to give to them. We are also helping them move.

Sirena, Bryson, Jared, and I put our money together for a family in need. It is a single mother with 5 kids. The mother just got laid off her job, so the family has to move into an apartment that doesnt have all the bedrooms they need. We are going to buy them things they need and help them move into their apartment.

we had the hardest time trying to figure out what to do with the money we got on wednesday night. after a lot of thinking my little sister realized that there was a family in our church who needed so christmas cheer. a single mom with two daughters was having trouble making ends meet, so her girls' christmas was gonna be less than stupendous. so, we decided to get to work. we teamed up with some other kids in the youth group (some who got the money from church, some who gave their own money to help) and raised an additional $200 for the girls. how awesome is that? so, yesterday we amassed the team and attacked the peachtree city/newnan area buying clothes and games and such for them. it was incredible! i can't wait to give the presents to their mom today!
so thank you to everyone who donated money to us... and thank you for this opportunity to serve! merry christmas y'all!!

This lady had a kid and she has no job and her husband is in jail and they are going through some tough times. We bought the mom a plain white button down shirt with a aqua blue tank top to go underneath that she can wear on job interviews. To keep the child entertained we bought some crayola markers that change colors so they can be entertained.
I've recently learned that Waffle House is open on Christmas Day. Knowing that no one deserves to work on this day, I went inside to make a difference in one of the workers' Christmas. I walked into the store and saw a lady that worked there in front of the counter where you pay. I asked her if she was going to be working on Christmas, and she said yes. I told her, "Well then, here's a gift." I handed her a green envelope with a card and the $25 inside. I said "Merry Christmas," and was on my way out of the store. The lady immediately called me back over to her. She gave me a big hug and thanked me. She told me to come to Waffle House to eat on Christmas. I listened to her as she told everyone else in the store about her great gift as I walked out the door. I'm not sure what she will do with the money. All I do know is that her Christmas will be changed by this gift. I am happy that I was given the opportunity to give it to her.

The Perfect Gift
It took me a while to figure out what to do. Then my mom thought of " why not send it to Shannon" (one of are really good family friends). She is a single mom with two children 3 and5. So I bought a Christmas/Christ card, and sent her the $25. My mom ended up sending another $25 to her the next day. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

The Gift
I was carrying around the money that we were given because I wasn't quite sure when I would think of something to use it for. As I was leaving the shopping area where I had been all afternoon, I noticed a lady and her husky sitting on the side of the road and they needed some food. I went to Kroger and bought them some food and drinks that were easy to open and wouldn't perish easily. I took them to her and talked to her for a little while. She said that she didn't really want to talk about God because she had been yelled at by preachers on the side of the road. She did let me pray with her and said that maybe she would think more about it because there had to be a God if I knew that she needed me. It was incredible :)

It took me a while to find out what to do with the $25, when my Brother said there was a boy in his class that wore shoes with holes in them. That is when I thought I should put the $25 to this family. This Family has 3 boys at the ages of 11, 9, and 3.
We went to their house and talked to their mom and she said to by them some clothes. So with the $25 and some extra money added to it I bought each boy a pair of pants and shirt.

After a few phone calls we found a single mom with 5 children needing lots of help. Here is her story..... Once a working mom with a good job and a house found herself without a job and losing her home due to one set back after another. They had to sell most of their belongings to be able to move into a 3 bedroom apartment. Once our mom spoke with her we found out that she needs help with clothing for the kids. Most of their clothes have holes in them. The landlord is also letting them move into a 4 bedroom apartment at the price of a 3 bedroom to give them more room. So we are helping them out with clothes and when she does move she will need help. We are planning to go as a family and help them move. My mom also called Sydney and Jared Halus and they are going in with us since she has 5 kids. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone out.

Shortly after going to youth group, my dad showed me an article in the newspaper about an 80 year old homeless women. She lives in a van in the parking lot of a Fayetteville Waffle House. In the paper it had her direct phone number to call her. After considering my choices, I decided to call her. At the time I called her, she was in the hospital. We had a nice conversation and she was pleased I had called to help her. She will receive the money after leaving the hospital on Monday. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to help someone in need.

One of my very best friends family is really tight on money. She lives with her grandmother, just the two of them, but because of her grandmother's age, she can't work, and my friend is in middle school (8th grade) and can't work either.
I used my money to buy a few things for her and her grandmother, and I dropped it off at her house, anonymously.

The Gift
Me and my sister were trying to think of some ways we could bless someone with the money we got from church. Our mom ended up helping us with some ideas. We ended up calling the community welcome house, which is a house for battered women and children. The woman who works there said there was a 7 year old boy named Joshua who could really use some time with some other people because the only other child there was a 1 year old. So me and my sister took him bowling, bought him food, and gave him a lot of money to play in the arcade. Then we had some money left over so we decided to take him to wal-mart to buy a toy. He had the most amazing time ever! My mom asked him what he thought of the toys he picked out and he said "Amazing." When it was time to go our separate ways he looked like he didn't want use to leave and neither did I. I could tell we made him so happy, it was probably one of the best times he has ever had. Most people would probably only do this one time and thats it. But after tonight I will most definatly doing something for him again! I think next week we will probably take him to jumping jelly beans.

Me and my brother contacted The Community Welcome House. Its a place for women and children to go, that have been abused. We told them what we were doing and how we wanted to help them in anyway possible. They told us about one little boy that was 7 years old. They told us that he doesn't really have alot of friends to play with. So me and Austin put our money together and brought him to the bowling ally. We paid for his dinner, bowling, play in the arcade, and then go to Wal-Mart and buy a toy. He was SOOOO happy! :) It made me and my brother happy to see him having such a good time:)

my gift
I was at the mall and I saw one of the cleaning ladies. She was exceptionally grumpy and seemed unpleasent that day. I was with my friends, and they just ignored her. I decided to stop and talk to her. I gave her the twenty-five dollars and I told her that I felt moved by God to give it to her. It just made her day. A smile just spread across her face and she wished me a very Merry Christmas.
My neighbors had to move out of their house yesterday because they started having financial problems a while ago. They are moving to a very small town in Alabama where the only excitement and restaurant for the three little girls is a Dairy Queen. Thinking it would help the entire family out with food costs and bring some happiness to the girls, especially the 7 year old, I bought them a gift card for DQ. It put a smile on thier faces on such a sad day.

Clay and I went into this together, once we understood we couldn't give the money to a charity or our friends in Ghana, we didn't know what to do.... so after a big taking to from clays mother we realized that buying gifts for each other wasn't the best idea. We made a plan to go to Food Lion to give someone who looked needy help to purchase their groceries. We were very nervous. We went to the grocery store and a family was looking at cookies. they could only have one pack.. we thought this was a good family to give too. It was a family of five a Mother Father and three kids. When we gave them the money it looked like they went into shock. They said thank you and shook our hands... i guess you could say we felt the Christmas spirit.

What i did with my "gift" money, was, i went to Wal-mart, and i sat @ the Pharmacy and watched people go by and order and pay for their perscriptions. This one family stuck out to me though....there was a lady and her son. Her son was autistic and was in a wheel chair, so i helped them out with their prescriptions.
